Discernment is being able to discern between the voice of my mind and the voice of my soul. In order to hear my soul’s voice, I have to set aside the cares of the day, shut down the voice of my mind, and enter into a state of mindfulness. Once I enter this state of solitude, I can prolong the silence and wait patiently for the voice of my soul. My soul’s quiet voice always brings feelings of peace, love, and joy.
