Again, we rewrite the list from previous sections, feeling and treasuring each of our body and mind gifts and talents. We will make a conscious effort to accept each item as being a precious part of the person we are. This should enhance our sense of self and provide the self-esteem needed to live productive conscious lives.

This week, we will add gifts from our heart. For example, I may choose to celebrate and be thankful for my children and grandchildren, choosing to celebrate one each day. I recognize and accept the important role I play in each one’s life. We then keep this person and thought as a focal point for the day.

I suggest the following:

• Copy the items listed so far from the previous My Beautiful Self exercises. As you do so, try to experience true acceptance that these are indeed amazing gifts that make you unique.

• Each day, read the list slowly and with feeling, truly accepting how each gift makes you special.

• Then add one more thing each day and keep it as a focal point for the day.

• This week, concentrate on the gifts from your heart.
