Secrets hold secrets
and still more secrets

until the life is but a mystery.
Secrets cover boundaries
disguising them
until there is no place left

that is sacred,
until the seeker is lost
in her own thoughts

not knowing where to begin,
where to end.

Suspicion blankets the mind with fear
so that trust no longer exist.s
And the boundaries to keep others out
becomes a prison to keep herself in.

So she seeks a friend,
not a sexual companion
where little white lies abound
but a soul mate with whom she can share
not just a piece of her body and mind
but to whom she can bare her soul.
